2 NY energy firms help small business owners access $1 million in energy efficient rebates
National Fuel Gas Distribution Corp. and Blue Springs Energy have partnered on an energy-efficient rebate program that assists small businesses in Western New York access more than $1 million annually in National Fuel cash rebates.
National Fuel’s Conservation Incentive Program provides outreach, education and technical assistance to small businesses and not-for-profits in an 11-county territory, according to a company news release.
“This partnership will help small business customers navigate the energy efficiency process from accessing the potential rebates to completing the necessary rebate paperwork,” National Fuel Gas Distribution Vice President Bruce Heine said in the release.
Blue Springs Energy President Larry Simpson said the program should create local contractor jobs through equipment upgrades that reduce natural gas costs.
National Fuel of Williamsville, and Blue Springs Energy of Webster, also will hold several educational workshops with the first set at Buffalo State College’s Campbell Student Union May 30 at 11:30 a.m. Register at Renew Erie County website.
National Fuel Gas Distribution is a utility segment of National Fuel Gas Company, a diversified energy company engaged in a number of natural gas-related activities. It provides natural gas to about 730,000 customers in Western New York and northwestern Pennsylvania.
