Buffalo’s ACV Auction cruises on in to Albany

ALBANY, N.Y. — Buffalo-based startup ACV Auction announced it will expand its used car auction app to Albany.

Founded by Joe Neiman, a former used car dealership owner in East Greenbush, ACV Auctions provides an online bidding platform for used car auctions. Traditional methods to source cars for used car lots is difficult and costly, and ACV Auctions provides the solution by keeping overhead down and streamlining the process.

Since founding in 2014, the company has grown by ten employees and is headquartered in the Z80 Labs incubator on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus. The recent winner of the $1 million 43North prize, a Buffalo startup competition funded through the Buffalo Billion — Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s plan to revitalize Buffalo, is backed by $1 million in venture money from Z80’s state-backed Innovate NY seed fund and angel investors.
