New York City named country’s second best for web development jobs

NEW YORK CITY — New York City was recently named as the second best city for web developers by SpareFoot and job website Indeed.com.

The ranking was compiled utilizing a series of metrics, including number of job listings, percent share of top 10, average annual salary, median home price, salary as a percentage of home price, median annual rent, and rent as a percent of income.

New York City had by far the most job listings than any other city, with approximately 21 percent of all web developer jobs housed in the Big Apple, and NYC web developers earned the fifth highest salary, coming in at $93,000 annually.
